Whitened Harvest
John 4:27–38

Introduction – After Jesus spoke with the Samaritan woman at Jacob’s Well, her life was transformed. She shared her story with her neighbours, and her testimony drew many people to Jesus. Her willingness to speak about what God had done in her life became the spark that led others to seek Him.

1. Everyone has a story to Tell

II.                         Doing / Executing God’s Will

While the disciples worried about Jesus’ physical needs, He reminded them that doing God’s will was more satisfying than food. Jesus said, “My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to accomplish his work.”

III. The Urgency of the Matter / Harvest

Jesus challenged His disciples:
“Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, then comes the harvest’? Look, I tell you, lift up your eyes, and see that the fields are white for harvest.” (John 4:34–35)

Application – The harvest is ready now. There are people all around us who are open to hearing the good news. We don’t have to wait for a perfect moment—God is already at work in their hearts. [October 1…ed Harvest]

IV. God’s Invitation to Partner

God is the Lord of the harvest. He chooses the right moment for salvation, but He also invites us to join Him in His work. We must be ready to respond to the opportunities He provides.
