“Sovereign Crossings” – July 8th

Mark 4:35-41

Introduction:

Mark’s chapter 4 narrative of Jesus getting into a boat with his disciples and calming a storm is not a passage new to most.

What more specifically I want to address is what I am calling “Sovereign Crossings.”

Application

: Life is full of transitions and some of those movements can be life changing and critical.

Applications

: What color of shoes to match whatever you’re wearing or what you have for lunch may not have significant ramifications, but other things that we do (especially for God) are live changing and live giving!

Quotes:

From the text:

“Who is this man?”

Conclusion

:

Job 17:9 “The righteous keep moving forward, and those with clean hands become stronger and stronger.”

If you are in Christ then you should also be moving forward and away from your past and looking ahead to do good works that have been prepared for us ahead of time to do.
